Welcome to Health Care Center for the Homeless!

Health Care Center for the Homeless, Inc. (HCCH) is a 501c3 non-profit organization and Federally Qualified Health Center committed to meeting the health care needs of homeless and housed but uninsured and under-insured residents of our community in an atmosphere of dignity and respect.  We care for our community through four Orange Blossom Family Health locations and Orange Blossom Pediatrics on the campus of the OCPS Academic Center for Excellence.

Primary Medical Care and Integrated Dental and Behavioral Health Services

HCCH operates three Orange Blossom Family Health and Orange Blossom Pediatrics in Orange County and an Orange Blossom Family Health location in Osceola County.  All our health centers offer primary and preventive medical care, with some also offering integrated oral health and behavioral health and substance use disorder counseling services. Our service area encompasses Orange, Osceola and Seminole Counties.

Our Programs

HCCH provides a range of services for under-served community members in Central Florida.

  • Primary Medical Care

Primary and preventive medical care is provided by a team of skilled physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses and medical assistants.

  • Oral Health Services

Our caring team of dentists, hygienists, dental assistants, and dental residents provide quality care with the understanding that good oral health is a crucial part of an individual’s overall well-being and self-esteem.

  • Behavioral Health and Substance Use Disorder Counseling

Rounding out our holistic approach to care, behavioral health and substance use disorder counseling services are integrated within our medical program. Brief, solution-focused counseling and medication management can be accessed to allow a patient to address the needs of the mind and the body.

  • Mobile Health Services

Our mobile medical and dental units serve homeless individuals and underserved children throughout the tri-county area by visiting our community partners.

  • Permanent Supportive Housing

This program uses the Housing First model, which involves housing a chronically homeless person first and then wrapping supportive services around them along with intensive case management. The Housing First model promotes housing stability and looks at homelessness as a result of the lack of affordable housing.

  • Pharmacy

Our two on-site pharmacies serve patients seen by a provider within our health centers, providing low-cost medications in a convenient setting.

  • Homeless Outreach

The homeless outreach program at HCCH works with unsheltered homeless individuals living on the streets and in the woods of Central Florida to connect them with health care and other basic needs. Clients are entered into the Homeless Management Information System to help facilitate an exit from homelessness.
